Allied Health Staff

Our allied health team consists of passionate and enthusiastic staff including a podiatrist, diabetic educator, dietician, exercise physiologist and two psychologists.

 Donna Hann - Diabetic Educator

 Donna is a credentialled diabetes nurse educator with extensive knowledge in managing all diabetes areas. One of her special interest areas is insulin pump therapy for Type 1 diabetes. She is a certified insulin pump trainer and provides ongoing management advice. Donna can provide support to all people with diabetes to assist with learning strategies to incorporate diabetes into every day living. Individual consultations are provided and she also works as part of a team to provide group education sessions at times. Donna is able to assist with learning to self adjust insulin, understanding and achieving optimal blood glucose levels to reduce risk of complications, and strategies to live a healthy lifestyle and also provide paediatric and pregnancy diabetes support.

Emma Pearson - Dietitian

Craig Ambler - Exercise Physiologist  

Craig has been a resident of Wagga since the early 80’s and is married with 3 sons.  He studied undergraduate Health Science at Charles Strurt University and is a qualified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the Exercise and Sports Science Association.  Craig has spent the past 27 years working with the Department of Defence in areas of Physical Training, Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation Management.  As a sportsman Craig achievements include National representation in Squash and distance running with the highlight being a top 20 National ranking in the marathon and No 1 ranking in the Australian Defence Force.

Craig has comprehensive experience and skills in areas of injury prevention, short and long term management of all types of health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. He has been engaged by Defence a subject matter expert in injury prevention and training program design.  In addition, he has worked with several sporting clubs in Wagga as the Exercise Physiologist responsible for fitness performance training, injury prevention and acute injury management.

Annie Woodhouse - Psychologist

Dr Annie Woodhouse is a psychologist with considerable experience in both rural and metropolitan practice. Annie has worked in GP clinics, hospitals, corporate settings and counselling services. Whilst  Annie provides evidence-based psychological therapies to patients experiencing a wide range of conditions, she is specialised in pain management with a secondary specialty in post traumatic stress disorder. She has spent much of her working life working in pain clinics and drug development both within Australia and internationally. Annie understands the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach in health care and is keen to work collaboratively with and share open communication with all health providers who are working with a patient. Annie recognises the importance of evidence-based approaches and uses cognitive and dialectical behavioural therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure therapy and motivational interviewing.

Joana Hamilton - Podiatrist is available Monday to Friday to see to your foot needs.
